ng to understand the Arabic language while balancing other commitments. Students without any requisite knowledge can enroll in this curriculum. Throughout the one-year program, students grow to understand Arabic syntax, morphology, and grammar, while delving deep into Quranic comprehension, Hadith understanding, Tajweed, and the spiritual wisdom found in the teachings of Rasulullah ﷺ

Program Overview

The goal of this program is to equip students with the linguistic, spiritual, and religious knowledge necessary to engage with Islamic texts and teachings with confidence and depth. The first year of the part-time Arabic Program is a comprehensive curriculum consisting of six courses. While the core curriculum comprises four courses, students have the option to enroll in these separately if desired. Further program details can be found in the Program Catalog.

Arabic Grammar (Nahw)

Text Used: Seek ilm Arabic Grammar/Morphology PPT & Notes, Tasheel al-Nahw based on ‘ilm al-Nahw

Embark on a linguistic journey with our Arabic Grammar (Nahw) course. Designed as a natural progression from Arabic Morphology, this course delves into the intricacies of Arabic sentence structures using the esteemed text "Tasheel al-Nahw". Explore the various classifications of sentences and gain a deep understanding of sentence components. Unravel the nuances of the Arabic case system, discovering how nouns interact with prepositions and verbs according to their roles within sentences. By the end of this course, students will possess the skills to adeptly construct and analyze Arabic sentences, along with a comprehensive grasp of noun properties, empowering them with a solid foundation in Arabic grammar.

LOCAL ENGAGEMENT

Students residing in Lake Ridge, Virginia, Snellville, Georgia, and Louisville, Kentucky, will have a unique opportunity to attend live classes at their respective local masjids: Madinatul Uloom in Lake Ridge, VA, Darul Huda Masjid in Snellville, GA, and HIRA Institute in Louisville, KY. These classes provide an interactive learning environment, promoting engagement with both peers and experienced instructors. While one class will be conducted in Georgia, another in Texas, and a third in Kentucky, the Virginia location will host the remaining three sessions. To ensure accessibility, all six classes will be simulcast online, making these valuable sessions available to a broader audience.
